Welcome everyone!
This website has been a long time in the making, and I’m happy to say, it’s finally ready. I’ve really enjoyed the process of putting it together. (well, Cate did all the work! I wouldn’t know where to start).
It’s been fun looking thru old and new photos, trying to find ones where I’m not making ridiculous faces. Haha…
Well, I really hope you enjoy this site, and that it’s informative and fun to look thru.
Talk soon!

hello! Isabel.
Why no pictures of Sextus in Paris? It was a great discovery to hear you and see you in this role!
Bernard
Dear Isabel,
Congrats on your new website! It really is the best I’ve seen. Indeed, you should be very proud and happy! If not before, I’ll see you at Matthew’s concert celebrating the life of his wonderful mom, Pearl. I’m so happy for all your successes.
Love,
Richard
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed your recital at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. I can’t recall hearing the Spanish repetoire sung so beautifully. I especially enjoyed the songs by Montsalvage. Someone said that there are two kinds of music, German and French. I think Spanish music should be added to the list.
Hi there! I actually came to learn about you via Sesame Street..LOL..I was taken back right away! Such beauty and a voice that could sooth any problem. I actually never been to an Opera before, its on my bucket list to do, but now I dont want to unless your singing! Maybe when you return to NY, I can get that way and check it out. Its a short ride to NY from Philadelphia.. Keep up the great work! If I am fortunate enough, maybe I could get an autograph before a show!
Be Blessed!
Charlie
Hi Isabel,
Every time you sing, you make the performance at the Met special. I love your voice and your stage presence. Saw you at the Tucker Gala.. Beautiful singing, beautiful dresses! Wishing you a long lasting success.
Heard you on TV tonight on Live From Lincoln Center singing the Vivaldi. Exquisite! May you have a long, happy and prosperous career!
Saw the wonderful Richard Tucker 100th Anniversary concert this afternoon and loved the aria you sang. On the TV screen, it said it was written by Vivaldi (one of my favorite composers), but the program on the PBS.com website listed your aria something different. Could you please send me the correct name…I’d love to look it up. It was just beautiful.
Thank you, Barbara
Just a note to congratulate you on a wonderful performance in Cosi at the Met which I saw this evening in HD in a cinema in Dublin Ireland. I hope you will give a recital at our National Concert Hall sometime in the near future. Renee Fleming gave a recital in Dublin last year and we are looking forward to Joyce Di Donato next April. Thomas Hampson was also here last year.
Best wishes with your career and thank you for giving us all such pleasure listening to you.

So far, you appeared to me Saturday afternoon, April 26th, one of the most natural singers to have appeared in any HD at the Met. You moved from spot to spot onstage, related to the other singers as they had their arias, and reacted the way a stage actor would in a regular play. I’ve read that a professor at the Yale University of Drama advises students to attend operas to see the way singers at The Met and elsewhere employ dramatic techniques to get the sometimes (ok, OFTEN) implausible characters they play across to a live audience. I hope many of them saw or will see “Cosi” on TV or a theater soon.
Dear Isabel,
I flyed to New York on Friday and watched the opera Figaro and was impressed with the role you played in not only due to your singing but your skills to performing as a young man. You were the best on Saturday night.
Regards,
Kejun
