Isabel Leonard returns to Santa Fe as Costanza in “Griselda”
Isabel Leonard returned to Santa Fe this summer as Costanza in the first major U.S. production of Griselda, directed by Peter Sellers. The LA Times raved that Leonard was a “revelation”, The Classical Review said, “Genuine star quality is a rarity on the opera stage – or anywhere – but it’s abundantly clear that Isabel Leonard has it in spades”, and the Albuquerque Journal said she was “A mezzo-soprano with flawless execution and a radiantly focused intonation.” Ms. Leonard can next be seen singing the role of Rosina in Il barbiere di Siviglia at the Wiener Staatsoper in September.
