NYC events in December and January
Isabel Leonard sings at the 20th annual Prostate Cancer Foundation Dinner on December 2, hosted by Whoopi Goldberg and John O’Hurley at The Pierre Hotel. The event also features performances from John Fogerty, Nathan Gunn, and the singing group Forte from America’s Got Talent. Proceeds from this special event will directly support prostate cancer research.
She returns to The Metropolitan Opera later in the month, to reprise her portrayal of Rosina in an English-language adaptation of Rossini’s The Barber of Seville December 16, 19, 21, 24, 26 & 30 and
January 2, 2016. Antony Walker leads the Met Opera Orchestra in this Bartlett Sher directed production featuring alternating casts, including David Portillo and Taylor Stayton as Count Almaviva, Elliot Madore and David Pershall as Figaro, Valeriano Lanchas as Dr. Bartolo, with Robert Pomakov as Don Basilio.
