Singing in ‘Le Nozze di Figaro’ at the Metropolitan Opera
WNYC – The Leonard Lopate Show
The Metropolitan Opera opened its 130th season in September with a new production of Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro. It’s the first time since 1941 that Mozart’s enormously popular comedy has been chosen to open the Met season. Stars Marlis Petersen, who plays Susanna, and Isabel Leonard, who plays Cherubino, discuss their roles and the new production.
