Isabel Leonard reunites with guitarist Sharon Isbin for several recitals this month, in acclaimed venues across the country. On November 12, the perform at Carnegie Hall in Zankel Hall, with a programme featuring works by several composers from her album Preludios, including Manuel de Falla, Enrique Granados, Francisco Tárrega, and Federico García Lorca. The evening also features the world premiere of Richard Danielpour’s Of Love and Longing, commissioned in celebration of Carnegie’s 125th Anniversary Season. The duo then travels to Illinois, for a recital at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign’s Krannert Center on November 14, and at Millenium Park’s Harris Theater in Chicago on November 16. The Harris Theater also co-commissioned Danielpour’s new work which premieres at Carnegie.
