Isabel Leonard completes this season’s trio of performances as Rosina in The Barber of Seville at The Dallas Opera in April, having already performed the role to rave reviews at San Francisco Opera and Lyric Opera of Chicago. John von Rhein of The Chicago Tribune said Isabel’s Rosina “balanced sweet and saucy nicely” and she “commands the wide range, the coloratura agility and the striking physical beauty, charm and stage presence to make an audience take the heroine to its heart.”
Performances take place March 28 & 30, and April 2, 5, 11 & 13. The April 11 performance will be simulcast live from the Winspear Opera House into AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX, the home stadium of the Dallas Cowboys. Last year’s Dallas Opera simulcast played to an audience of 14,000 opera fans.
